The Chamber represents and promotes the area's economy and encourages business and industry, broadening the tax base and providing employment. To prospects and newcomers, the Chamber represents the community's self image. The Chamber of Commerce is a viable force in seeking solutions to today’s social problems. The Wainwright & District Chamber of Commerce takes great pride in its ability to work together with other organizations and agencies, where there has been a common interest that would affect the lives of people living in our community. Without people, businesses would not be able to exist.
While the Chamber of Commerce does promote and work fulltime on behalf of the business community we are also very concerned about the economy of the community at large. In order to achieve a high quality of life for those who live, work, do business and visit here, the economy needs to continue to be strong.
The Wainwright & District Chamber of Commerce represents over 200 community businesses and organizations, representing every aspect of the local community. Through activities such as the Trade Show, Small Business Week - GALA Awards, involvement with Wainwright Economic Development Board, Wainwright Regional Tourism Development Committee, Trail of the Buffalo, and our Membership Directory/Buyer Guide and Website, we work constantly to increase the visibility of our Members.
While remembering the hard-working, forward thinking, community-minded people of the past, the Chamber looks forward with enthusiasm and optimism to the challenging years ahead. We are dedicated to helping and promoting local businesses and are here for the community and ensure that your concerns are voiced to the right areas in order to improve.
The Chamber combines your views with the views and ideas of other members, and as such is the central clearinghouse for thought and action helping make positive things happen. The Chamber of Commerce provides you with opportunities to participate, learn and become part of an effective enthusiastic team.
