The campground consists of 10 serviced, 35 partially serviced, 20 un-serviced sites overlooking the lake and 5 group campsites. A Laundromat, showers and RV dump are available to make your stay more comfortable. The area also offers picnic areas, 15 miles of nature walk trails, unique history and a beach. Animals like whitetail deer, mule deer, rabbits, squirrels, chipmuncks, ground squirrels and coyotes are common or have been seen in the area. Canada geese, ducks, peregrine falcons, turkey vultures, hawks and numerous other small birds have been spotted. Fishing, for northern pike and perch, can be enjoyed during your stay here as well. A modern clubhouse with cafeteria, equipment and power cart rentals complement an 18-hole, sand green gold course.

This park boats 79 beautifully treed campsites, 24 fully serviced and un-served, in a river valley setting located just 10 minutes north of Wainwright on highway #41. Showers and laundry facilities as well as an RV dump station are also available. A par-3, grass green 18-hole golf course will challenge any golfer. The course is serviced by a clubhouse with restaurant, golf cart and equipment rentals.
The parks also has picnic areas, swimming, a playground, mini golf, ball diamond and horseshoe pits. For history buffs, it is interesting to note that this is the approximate point where Anthony Henday first crossed the Battle, and where he would have had early encounters with the Blackfoot Nation.

The park offers 234 sites (serviced & un-serviced sites). Playgrounds and concession are available as well as an RV dump station, boating, swimming, hiking trails and shelters for day use.
This park is internationally recognized for shorebird migration.
