- The Town of Wainwright - Buffalo Capital of Canada
A progressive Town fulfilling the role as the main service centre for a large area of farmland in east central Alberta. The Village of Chauvin is located south of Highway 14. A wide assortment of recreation is available no matter what the season. There is ready access to 2 lakes Salt Lake and Dillberry Lake Provincial Park. Don't forget to stop by the Chauvin Softball Tournament in June that follows more than 20 years of tradition. The village has a wonderful and unique museum. In the winter curling, hockey, skating, snowmobiling and cross country sking are in the forefront. For the hunting buff there is small game and deer.

The Village of Edgerton is located just south of Highway 14. A wide assortment of recreation is available no matter what the season. In the summer enjoy their excellent 9 hole grass green golf course with camping facilities available. There is ready access to 3 lakes Clear, Arm and Shuster within 6 miles of Edgerton. Arm Lake has a recreational area and a 9 hole golf course. You won't want to miss their annual Sports Days weekend the 1st weekend of July. The village has a wonderful and unique museum and in January they always host the traditional Robbi Burns supper. In the winter curling, hockey, skating, snowmobiling and cross country sking are in the forefront. For the hunting buff thereb is small game and deer.

Irma is located in the heart of east-central Alberta. Situated at the junction of Highway 14 and Secondard Highway 881, located on the CNR mainline, approximately equidistant from Lloydminster and Edmonton. Sprting activities are an integral part of Imra's way of life. Winter activities include a very active hockey crowd with participants ranging in age from 4 to 70 years. Together with hockey, their arena supports Ringette and Figure Skating for many more young people. The Curling Club is very dedicated and hard working sponsoring in part not only a curling school, but also Albert's finest Mid-Summer Curling Bonspiel. Summer sporting events include the annual Sports Days and Fair. During the summer months ball games abound with programs for all ages. Irma boasts a very fine, challenging, irrigated, nine hole golf course complete with articial greens and a modern clubhouse. In the fall, duck, goose and deer hunting abounds.
