The Chamber of Commerce works with other community development resources like the Wainwright Economic Development Board and Wainwright Main Street Project. They independently and jointly promote business activity in the area and to meet community needs.

These organizations work to initiate growth and prosperity within the Wainwright region and are dedicated to the promotion of business and community development. They strive to be the most credible and reliable source of quality information and competitive intelligence on doing business in the Wainwright region. Providing accurate, timely, relevant resources, promoting the advantages, which have formed the foundation of our region's thriving economy.

These voluntary organizations of progressive individuals and businesses work together to advance the commercial, financial, industrial and civic interests of our community. Through collaboration and cooperation we are working to strengthen, retain and expand the region’s current economic base, by assisting existing local businesses, and by promoting the Wainwright region and its opportunities to prospective investors and businesses.

The office of the Chamber of Commerce is located at #202, 1006 - 4th Avenue.

Regular Hours: 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Weekdays.

Providing regional information; community profiles, business directories, information and resources to assist businesses, entrepreneurs & developers in their ventures for businesses.

As a source of information the Chamber staff welcome inquiries about the region. Regulations, maps, recreational activities and community events are available from the center for residents and visitors.

The Wainwright & District Chamber of Commerce advocates promoting and improving trade, commerce, tourism and the economic welfare for a better environment in the region. We are dedicated to helping the Wainwright region reach its full potential in growth and prosperity.

The Wainwright Economic Development Board is a co-operative partnership between the Town and Municipal District of Wainwright to promote, expand and enhance the economic development of the region. The Board consists of forward-looking, broad-visioned business and community volunteers, as a facilitator and resource for strategies associated with business retention and expansion; business attraction and investment; community marketing, tourism and community development.

The Wainwright Main Street Project is a five-year joint partnership between the Alberta Historical Resources Foundation’s Alberta Main Street Programme and the Town of Wainwright. The program helps communities capitalize on historic resources by providing organization, design, marketing and economic development strategies to strengthen and renew the image of downtown as a vibrant social and commercial center.
