A seasonally operated Visitor Information Centre is conveniently located at 425 - 14th Avenue (about 100 metres from the west town limit) in Wainwright’s Petroleum Park on the south side of Alberta Highway 14. Featuring restrooms, a rest area complete with picnic tables and green space where you can take a break, stretch those legs or give the kids a place to release all that energy.

Historical background of the Centre
July 9th, 1975 Minister of Tourism and Business Development, Bob Dowling met with Town & Chamber Officials regarding the construction of a permanent Travel Information Centre and development in Oilman’s Park. The distinctive tee pee building was built that summer.
